Did you know that Bendigo MTB is one of the largest mountain bike clubs in Australia? Our community is made up of a diverse group of volunteers who are dedicated to growing the sport of mountain biking to get more people out of the house, away from the screens, and into the outdoors.

We are mums and dads, boys and girls, racers, recreational riders, weekend warriors, veterans of the sport, and those who are new to off-road cycling. Regardless of our backgrounds, abilities, ages and whether we compete or just ride for fun, we are all united by our passion for off-road cycling, and our love of the outdoors.

Our number one priority is to get more bums on bikes, so that we can help support a vibrant and healthy community through active recreation and getting outdoors.

Make Dirt Magic” is our motto, and this is all about developing sustainable, fit-for-purpose trails that are designed for riders of all skill levels and abilities to enjoy. While Greater Bendigo is already home to a strong mountain biking community, and indeed it is also home to some of Australia’s most successful cyclists, many of the trails that we all ride on are not officially sanctioned or properly mapped out. Bendigo MTB recognises this as a significant barrier for new riders engaging into the sport, and it also hinders opportunities for growing adventure tourism within the region.

As such, we consider the development of a sustainable and purpose-built mountain bike trail network for Greater Bendigo as absolutely vital to support and foster the large and growing population of recreational and competitive mountain bikers within our community.

Bendigo MTB’s vision is to ensure that trail networks in the Bendigo area are sustainable and have the support of the relevant land manager (Parks Victoria). We realise this vision by actively engaging with the land manager, our mountain biking community, along with federal, state and local government, and the broader community. Together with your help and advocacy, we hope to establish a purpose-built trail network that not only protects the environment that we all love to enjoy, but will also provide positive health and wellbeing outcomes for the Greater Bendigo community. Check out our Trails page for where to ride and how to get involved.

If you are only into riding just for fun, we’d love for you to be a part of the club. Together we can help grow our collective voice and not only advocate for the trails that we ride now, but for the trails we want to ride in the future. If you also want to take part in the sport through racing and participating in our events, that’s fantastic too! Check out our Events page to see what’s on and to find out how you and your entire family can join in.
